This project has really given me time to reflect on one of my favorite beauty methods and art forms, nail art. Actually sitting down to research and write about this topic also has helped me realize how much I think about nails in general. Despite my obsession, the thorough research I have done has taught more than I thought I could know about the topic. At first, I was having difficulty with discerning what to include and exclude from my blog posts because I wanted to avoid over-informing my audience while providing enough evidence to get my point across. I hope that I was able to translate the information I encountered with my peers in a way that was entertaining and educational.

Considering my previous interest in owning a business in the beauty world, this push to research various information has helped set a much clearer path for what I have planned in life. After discovering the $20,0000 average salary for nail technicians, it is very disappointing that their earnings are so low despite tips which is not something I envisioned for myself. Although I decided against becoming a full-time technician, I am still appreciative of the opportunity to discover this work field in depth. I am planning to narrow my options through research on the hair business whether that means becoming a hairstylist or starting my own beauty supply with my mom as my business partner.

Overall, this experience was supportive in my choice to own a business while expanding my knowledge based on what goes into owning a business. Also, I am thankful for the general research practice because I have a hard time finding evidence and condensing the evidence to prove my point. The ability to produce information while having my voice come across on my blog was a comfortable way to do so.
